Snacks, are you eating right?
Three principles of healthy snacks:
1) Nuts are allowed! The fat and protein in cashews, pistachios and more can help reduce the risk of heart disease and Alzheimer's disease.
2) Let go of those potato chips! Potato chips tend to be too salty, while whole-grain snacks are rich in fiber, which is good for heart and colon health.
3) Don’t drink so sweetly! The sugar in drinks will raise our blood sugar and make us lose our appetite for truly nutritious food.
